Policy and Procedure Manual Writer Intern, Finance and Administration

As a Policy and Procedure Manual Writer Intern under Globe’s Credit and Billing Department, my work revolves around turning workflows into accurate, easy-to-digest documentation that teams can rely on. Day to day, I collaborate with different groups to see how they perform specific tasks, and document them into structured manuals that help make processes clearer and more efficient.

I began my internship journey at Globe in July 2025, drawn by the company’s culture of innovation, collaboration, and meaningful impact in the digital world. I knew it was the perfect environment to grow both professionally and personally. With my background in Industrial Engineering, I’ve developed a passion for improving systems, streamlining workflows, and finding ways to make processes more efficient. This internship gave me the opportunity to put those skills into practice by documenting how operations are carried out while seeing firsthand how improvements can be introduced. The experience sharpened my skills and deepened my appreciation for how structured documentation and automation can transform the way organizations work

One of the most rewarding parts of my internship has been contributing to automation projects. Documenting processes was challenging at first because it required technical understanding and close attention to detail. Over time, I was able to see how repetitive manual tasks could be transformed into more efficient systems. Witnessing these changes made me appreciate how billing automation saves time, improves accuracy, and reduces errors. It was also fulfilling to apply what I’ve learned in school to projects that directly impact an organization’s operations. 

A project that has made a lasting impression on me is my final assignment, which involves conducting a series of interviews to create a detailed work manual. Although the project is still ongoing, it has pushed me to look deeper into how processes function and to find the best way to present them in clear, well-structured documentation. Even at this stage, I can already see how much I’ve learned, particularly in viewing workflows from different perspectives and identifying ways to simplify them.

Aside from the projects, the mentorship and collaboration I experienced within the team truly shaped my internship experience. Working with professionals in Globe’s Credit and Billing Department allowed me to see processes from different perspectives and use those insights to create clearer, more effective documentation. The Billing Automation and Efficiency team, in particular, made the biggest impact. They went beyond simply assigning tasks—they encouraged me to ask questions, they shared with me practical insights, and they showed me how even small improvements can create a meaningful difference. Their support not only helped me learn faster but also shaped how I now approach problem-solving and documentation as an inspiring industrial engineer.

This internship taught me that there's always something new to learn and apply when you stay open and curious. Working on tasks such as documenting processes and learning about automation made me realize how important it is to keep things clear, practical, and efficient.

My advice to other students is to remain curious, stay focused, and never hesitate to ask questions. Planning your time effectively is also key, as balancing academics and an internship can be challenging, but an organized schedule keeps you on track. Most importantly, value every task and the mentorship given to you, as they provide you with the most precise understanding of how processes relate in your chosen field.

I see my career growing through continuous learning and by applying the skills I've gained from this internship to future opportunities. Being a Ka-Globe has taught me a great deal, especially in process documentation and automation. I’m also excited to further develop my skills through upcoming Python Programming training. With these experiences and the network I've built, I feel well prepared to pursue future opportunities and continue growing as an Industrial Engineering student.
