Together, We Make Space for Every Kind of Love

Every June, rainbow flags light up our offices, chats, and virtual calls. But at Globe, Pride Month is a reflection of who we are and what we stand for as Ka-Globe: a community where everyone is seen, respected, and free to belong.

For Pride Month 2026, we brought our culture of inclusion to life through shared experiences, meaningful connections, and a workplace where every kind of love, identity, and story has space to grow.

Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz emphasized the importance of celebrating Pride:

"At Globe, we believe everyone deserves to be seen, respected, and valued for who they are. When people feel empowered, they bring their authentic energy to work, contribute unique perspectives, and create meaningful impact. Our greatest strength has always been our diversity. While we come from different backgrounds and experiences, we are united by a shared purpose of creating a Globe of Good."

Living our culture of inclusion, every day

Globe continues to build a workplace where employees can grow, contribute, and thrive. Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) aren’t just buzzwords for us—they’re built into our people programs and culture so that everyone feels respected, supported, and empowered to succeed.

We set the tone for a month filled with learning, advocacy, and celebration—powered by more than 500 Ka-Globe who joined activities across the organization. We focused on three things that matter deeply to our people: well-being, learning, and meaningful connections.

Across the month, Ka-Globe led and joined initiatives, volunteered time and energy, and created safe spaces—proving that inclusion is not a once-a-year event but something we live across the organization every day.

Focusing on well-being and safe spaces

Employee well-being took center stage in this year’s Pride activities.

We hosted an HIV Awareness Webinar attended by over 200 employees, featuring expert-led discussions on HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and destigmatization. It became a safe, judgment-free space where Ka-Globe could ask questions about sexual health and get informed without fear or stigma.

“I’ve been privileged to have a very supportive IS from the time I started my career journey with Globe. Allyship with my IS matters the most—knowing that he/she understands what I want and what my career goals are." - Lexy, Core Transport Planning Expert - Network Technical Group

We also rolled out a DEIB Refresher eCourse, completing our learning module designed to strengthen inclusive behaviors across the organization. The goal: to make sure inclusion shows up not just in policies, but in everyday interactions—how we talk, listen, and show up for one another.

Our Inclusive Circles continued to provide employee-led spaces where Ka-Globe could share their experiences, build relationships, and foster a stronger sense of community. These circles allow us to bring our whole selves to conversations, whether we’re processing challenges, celebrating wins, or simply listening to one another.

“Throughout my four and a half years with Globe, that ‘Uy, nakikinig talaga sila sa’kin’ moment isn't a rare occurrence, but a daily reality. In concrete terms, truly being heard looks like active, seamless collaboration every single day, not just a spotlight during Pride Month." - Charlie, B2B Channel and Partnerships Development Expert, Globe Tower Cebu

Centering employee voices and stories

This Pride, employee voices were also given a broader platform and importance.

Ka-Globe from across the country shared personal stories of authenticity, self-expression, and growth—stories about coming out, allyship, finding community at work, and what it feels like to be truly seen.

"What makes me feel most fabulous these days is simple: being able to show up as myself, make people laugh, help customers, support my family, and know that I’m doing all of that without hiding who I am." - Venzy, Customer Experience Ambassador - Globe SM Store Cebu

We also launched a Pride Videocast Series, which brought together Globe leaders, LGBTQIA+ advocates, and allies. We tackled topics such as workplace inclusion, transgender rights, and equality.

The importance of creating spaces where everyone feels valued and respected

These conversations helped many of us see inclusion not just as a policy, but as something we practice in meetings, chats, and day-to-day decisions.

Pride Bazaar, Pride Day, and community support

Pride wasn’t just about internal activities—it was also about lifting each other up and supporting inclusive communities.

“Early in my career, I was handling a subscriber with such a complicated issue. I was completely stuck and honestly had no idea how to solve it. My IS patiently helped me. In that moment, I truly felt a sense of belonging—knowing I wasn’t alone, that I had someone I could lean on whenever I felt out of my depth or unsure. It meant the world to me and taught me what real support looks like.” - Ryan, Customer Experience Ambassador - Globe Store Zamboanga

Through the Pride Bazaar for a Cause, employee-owned businesses took the spotlight. Ka-Globe showcased their passions and enterprises, while the bazaar raised funds to support inclusive community initiatives.

The month culminated in Pride Day: Keep Slaying, where more than 100 employees came together for keynote sessions, learning activities, and performances that celebrated individuality and strengthened connections across the organization. It was an energizing reminder that we’re at our best when we’re free to show up as our authentic selves.

Marching with pride beyond the workplace

Our commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community doesn’t stop at the office doors.

This year, Globe joined fellow Ayala Group companies at the LoveLaban Pride March in UP Diliman and participated in the Cebu Grand Pride Parade, which gathered more than 20,000 attendees in a powerful celebration of diversity, visibility, and inclusion.

By showing up in these spaces, we’re not only celebrating Pride, but we’re also standing in solidarity with the broader community and reinforcing our role as an ally and advocate.

Pride and inclusion, all year round

Our commitment to DEIB is guided by our Code of Conduct and our DEIB Policy Commitment, where we uphold zero tolerance for discrimination and continuously work to create an environment where everyone is empowered to succeed.

Globe Chief Human Resource Officer Renato Jiao shared:

“Belonging creates the foundation for people to grow, contribute, and thrive. By fostering an environment where every employee feels respected, supported, and empowered to be their authentic selves, we enable our people to collaborate with confidence, embrace diverse perspectives, and create meaningful impact for our customers and communities.”

For us as Ka-Globe, Pride doesn’t end in June.

Every HIV webinar, Inclusive Circle, videocast, bazaar, and parade we join is part of a larger journey: building a Globe of Good where each of us can grow, contribute, and truly belong.

And that story—our story—continues with every Ka-Globe who chooses to show up as their authentic self, and every ally who chooses to stand beside them.
