This GDay, 1000+ Ka-Globe Chose to Give Back 💙

Globe held its annual 917 GDay 2026 with the theme, "Love Overload", featuring nationwide festivities, customer rewards, and community volunteer work.

There's a version of GDay that stays within the building, the kind with cake and applause and a warm note from leadership. And then there's what happened this September.

This year, Ka-Globe didn't just celebrate. They showed up for the Filipino communities.

Several Ka-Globe across all business groups went out of the office to volunteer and serve our Filipino communities

Together with the Globe Senior Leadership Team, more than 1000 employees fanned out across Metro Manila on September 15 and 16, trading their usual routines for something a little messier, a little louder, and a whole lot more meaningful. They cooked meals and packed relief goods. They read stories to children and sat with seniors who were learning to send their first messages online. They showed up, not because they had to, but because that's what Globe of Good asks of people: to take whatever's inside the office walls and bring it out into the world.

Packing of goods was an effort of many Ka-Globe's hands with smiles on their faces for the Globe of Good

A morning of many hands

By 7 a.m. on September 15, volunteers were already in motion.

At SOS Rescue Kitchen in Diliman, Ka-Globe were elbow-deep in pots, cooking and serving meals alongside the organization's team. Across town in Pasay, others worked steadily through the morning repacking family food packs with DSWD — box after box, a quiet and practical kind of care.

It was a great day at the Rescue Kitchen with our Ka-Globe personally cooking healthy meals for our beneficiaries.

For feeding activities alone, Ka-Globe showed up at multiple sites across the city — from San Sebastian Church in Quiapo to Saint Anthony of Padua Shrine — making sure that the spirit of the day was felt where it mattered most.

Nothing beats interactions with the kids! Ka-Globe visited schools and had a lovely morning with the kids. Always a blessing to contribute to their learning and growth. Start them young! They are the next generation of talents.

Meanwhile, at schools across Manila and Makati, Ayala Foundation's program brought Ka-Globe into classrooms for reading sessions, feeding activities, and road safety lessons.

Volunteers visited Margarita Roxas de Ayala Elementary School, Jose Magsaysay Elementary School, and Maximo Estrella Elementary School — spending their mornings with students who had a full house of Kuyas and Ates for the day.

Can you spot our Chief Finance Officer Carlo Puno? Together with the Finance and Administration team, they went to the Maximo Estrella Senior High School in Makati City to interact with children and read them books.

That same energy carried over to Virlanie Foundation, Hospicio de San Jose, and Damas Association de Filipinas Orphanage, where employees spent time with children and young people in partner institutions. Less about formal programming, more about just being present for kids who appreciate the company.

Chief Human Resources Officer Renato Jiao and Chief Commercial Officer Darius Delgado together with their teams. All smiles as they lead the way to give back to our Filipino communities.

The activity types were different, but the energy was the same: sleeves rolled up, somewhere to be, someone to be there for.

The seniors who stole the show

If one activity captured the heart of this year's Globe of Good, it might have been Senior Digizen.

Hundreds of Ka-Globe went to Makati and Taguig for the Senior Digizen program, where they taught senior citizens on digital safety.

More than 1000 senior citizens packed Makati Coliseum on September 15, guided by Ka-Globe volunteers through the basics of navigating the digital world — how to use everyday apps, how to spot a scam, how to feel a little less lost in a world that moves very fast. The following day, the program traveled to Taguig, reaching hundreds more at Lakeshore Hall.

Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano joined the Taguig leg, thanking our volunteers and echoing a belief at the heart of Senior Digizen: “We are never too old to learn something new!

There's something quietly profound about that image: a Ka-Globe volunteer sitting beside a lola or a lolo, patiently walking through a screen tap by tap. No grand gesture, just time and attention — which, for a lot of seniors trying to keep up with a digitizing world, is exactly what's needed.

Thousands of senior citizens joined the program! It was such a heartwarming moment to teach our lolos and lolas about digital literacy.

Pledges that became people

Leading up to GDay, Ka-Globe had already pledged over ₱2.5 million to support communities and causes close to their hearts. But pledges are numbers on a screen until someone acts on them.

What Globe of Good does, and what made this year's edition feel particularly alive, is close the gap between intention and action. The pledge becomes the meal served. The signup becomes the hour spent reading to a child. The number becomes a name, a face, a morning that someone somewhere won't forget.

Our purpose is to uplift the lives of the Filipinos. And through the Globe of Good, we make time to make a difference to our communities and fellow countrymen.

Over 1,000 Ka-Globe made that happen this GDay, across ten partner organizations and communities stretching from Quiapo to Bicutan.

The good that keeps going

Here's the thing about Globe of Good: it didn't end on September 16.

Employees across the country are continuing to support communities in their own territories throughout the month. And Globe is working toward 917 acts of good before September closes, a goal that's less about the number and more about the habit it's trying to build. That care doesn't have to be reserved for one week a year. It can be the way Ka-Globe moves through the world, full stop.

917 GDay is Globe's day, but as this year showed, the best version of it belongs to the communities outside the building, too.

Thank you to every Ka-Globe who gave their morning, their afternoon, their energy, and their heart this GDay. You made it count.
