POV: You’re a TikTok Creator Turning Your Passion Into a Marketing Journey

Studying marketing in a classroom is one thing, but putting it into practice is another. My experience in the corporate world taught me something textbooks never could: not every thing will turn out perfect and that’s okay.

Marketing Youth Culture

I’ve been creating content since I was a teenager. Back then, I always looked in the mirror and pretended that I was in front of a camera so I could watch myself act or talk. Later on, I enjoyed making videos because I liked showing a side of me that people wanted to interact or relate with. I knew I wanted to pursue content creation because of the joy I felt every time I watched myself on screen and received feedback on what I say or do. I also liked working with brands and becoming their “subject” for the products they sell so I can help them promote their products and services, which also helped me create more content.

“I chose Marketing as my field of specialty because it aligns with my vision and goal of becoming a content creator.”

I’m passionate about producing content for people and creating a safe space where I can be that “best friend” and “fashionista” that people can relate with. Which is why I’m working on content creation on all platforms as Globe’s Marketing Intern.

I believe that my passion for content creation tracks well with Marketing as it allows me to develop creative ideas, connect with different audiences, and explore opportunities I never thought I could pursue. Through this field, I can continue gaining new experiences while strengthening both my creative and professional skills.

A Day in the Life, On and Off Camera

I made “day in the life” Tiktok videos documenting my Globe experience. I did this for two things: first, I wanted to brand myself as someone who loves exploring new things, and second, a lot of people and friends said that the internship looked so fun and exciting after I posted the video. Shooting a “day in the life” video at Globe helps give our audiences a look at what’s happening inside Globe from a first person point of view.

“My internship at Globe was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will never forget.”

One of my ICONIC blue carpet  moments with Globe  was attending the The Devil Wears Prada 2 block screening!

One TikTok that best captured my Globe experience was the block screening for The Devil Wears Prada 2. The movie resonated with my experience in the Globe internship program, what I learned, and what I got back in return.

When people see my videos, they think that it’s fun and exciting. But, what they don’t see is the work “behind the scenes”  that we actually put in for Globe. It also takes a lot of courage filming in front of new people just to share my experience.

Off camera, a typical day for me as a Globe Marketing Intern starts with reviewing my tasks and identifying what I need to accomplish for the day. I also take the opportunity to share my progress and plans with my fellow interns and teammates so we can stay aligned.

We collaborate throughout the day by exchanging ideas, discussing objectives, and sharing our perspectives since we all work in the same workspace. This collaborative environment makes it easier for us to learn from one another and come up with better solutions.

One of the best experiences with Globe was sharing my creativity with fellow interns. Swipe to see more! ;)

My favorite part of the day is our alignment meetings because they give everyone a chance to share their thoughts and contribute to shaping each other's ideas. I enjoy working together with them as a team and helping them develop creative and effective solutions.

From Introvert to Onstage Host

Hosting Globe events was my very first hosting experience, ever. When I started my internship, I was an introvert and never imagined myself speaking in front of a crowd. At first, I was really nervous, but Globe gave me many opportunities to step out of my comfort zone. They encouraged me to express myself, continuously pushed me to grow, and helped me develop new skills.

When I was 15, I could only imagine speaking in front of my siblings. I never thought I'd be comfortable addressing a large audience. My teammates believed in my potential and trusted me to host an event, even before I believed in myself. When I finally got on stage, I was surprised by how natural it felt. Hosting gave me the confidence to show off skills I never knew I had and made me realize that I was capable of so much more than I had imagined. That experience was one of the most memorable parts of my internship, and showed me how much I had grown, personally and professionally. It reminded me that sometimes, the biggest opportunities come from simply saying "yes" to something that scares you.

My first hosting gig with Marielle Britania for Social Media 101 at Globe—an experience that started my journey as a host and continues to build my confidence with every opportunity.

Personally, I loved the hosting gig I did because it was the moment I realized that taking risks and stepping outside of your comfort zone can lead you to opportunities you never imagined. It taught me that personal growth often begins when you're willing to challenge yourself.

Being Okay with Imperfection

Marketing isn't just about making things look good. One of the biggest lessons I learned from studying Marketing and interning at Globe is that not everything will turn out perfect and that's okay. Growth comes from the process, not from getting everything right the first time.

Through every challenge and experience, I gained a clearer vision of what I truly wanted to achieve. The moment I took that first step and experienced things for myself, I realized that you don't need to be perfect to turn your vision into reality, you just need to be willing to learn, adapt, and keep moving forward.

“You don't need to be perfect, you just need to start somewhere.”

For all these reasons, I would definitely recommend Globe as a company to intern with! Globe really takes care of their interns like their own children. They push you to become the best version of yourself and let you try things in the real world without needing to be perfect.
