Making a Difference: Moto917's Heartfelt Outreach

Updated: Jan 8, 2025

Moto917 set out on a charity ride that would greatly help a community. Check out the video below!

On March 8, 2024, 26 Ka-One Globe — a mix of Directors, Managers, and Experts from Acquiro and Globe — embarked on a meaningful journey to Cayabu, Tanay. With hearts full of commitment to giving back, they left as early as 5:30 AM, ready to make a Globe of Good.

Under the Leadership of Henry Wenceslao (Senior Expert ICT, B2B), they pooled their resources to address the pressing needs of the Cayabu community. They provided essential items such as takuri, pitcher, timba, perishable goods, and coffee to the poorest of the poor in the area.

They also had other activities during the day: driving training, river clean-up, and discussions on scam prevention — a testament to their dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

This act of kindness was born out of a desire to simplify and make a tangible impact. Moto917's mission is straightforward: to ride and to give back. In their pursuit of this mission, they clocked in 65 km of travel over two hours, with plans to continue their charitable efforts throughout 2024.

What made this experience truly remarkable was the heartfelt response from the locals. As they engaged with the first batch of recipients, they were moved by the words of an elderly woman who expressed gratitude, saying, "Yung binigay niyo, hindi 'yan maliit, malaking tulong na sa'min 'to" (What you gave us, that isn’t something small, it’s a great help to us).

As Moto917 members reflect on this experience, they are reminded of the power of simplicity and the profound impact of collective action. Through their outreach, they've not only touched lives but also forged lasting connections within the community.

Looking ahead, Moto917 remains committed to its mission of riding and giving back. With each journey, they aim to leave a lasting Globe footprint — defined by valuing people and making a difference, one community at a time.

Contributing to the community's well-being is not just a responsibility, but a privilege. Whether it's lending a helping hand, sharing knowledge, or simply being there for one another, each act of support strengthens the fabric of the community. Let's continue to uplift and empower each other! #Moto917
