Innovative Appreciation: How Culture Lab Teams Transformed Globe's Employee Appreciation Week



The Globe Culture Lab is an initiative that empowers employees to become culture champions. It invites teams to brainstorm, develop, and implement meaningful projects that align with Globe's core values while fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie among employees.

During Globe’s Employee Appreciation Week in March, three (3) Culture Lab Teams showcased their creativity and innovation through a series of engaging projects aimed at enhancing appreciation within the organization.


Take a closer look at the standout initiatives from each team:


CXMazing Sari-Sari Store by the Customer Experience Management Team



The CXM team embarked on a mission to reimagine the Employee Appreciation experience with their delightful CXMazing Sari-Sari Store. This nostalgic self-serve snack bar was designed to bring warmth and joy to employees with a simple yet impactful concept. The store was filled with beloved childhood snacks, including candies, biscuits, and 3-in-1 coffee, creating an inviting atmosphere.


During the design sprint, our initial idea involved gamifying appreciation through a stamp card system—where people earned rewards for doing good deeds. But when we got back to our floor, we had an honest realization: Appreciation shouldn’t be earned—it should simply be felt.


  • Curated Themes: Snacks were organized into bundles reflecting team dynamics, like “Ka-Maintenance” filled with healthy options and “Titas of Manila” featuring calming teas and snacks.

  • Inclusive Participation: Leaders contributed by sharing their favorite snacks, fostering community and connection.

  • Extended Engagement: Originally running from March 7 to 14, the store's popularity prompted an extension until April 7, proving the lasting joy that simple gestures can inspire.



The initiative was led by Gigi Santiago and JM Yapcengco, with a lot of love and effort from our very own CXM Care BearsJuni Nierva, Ruby Regoso, and Joy Arlos, whose love language is service. They carefully curated, packed, and stacked every snack with care.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, with candid photos, heartfelt messages, and shared memories filling the group chat, underscoring the power of appreciation in building a cohesive team culture.


Best Regards Radio by Business-to-Business, Enterprise Data and Strategic Services, Marketing, and Network Technical Group



The Best Regards Radio initiative brought a musical twist to Employee Appreciation Week, allowing team members to send digital song dedications to express gratitude and celebrate their colleagues. This creative approach facilitated sharing favorite songs alongside personal messages of appreciation, fostering camaraderie and joy.

  • Live Streamed Gratitude: Song dedications were live-streamed on Workplace, making the celebration interactive and dynamic.

  • Personal Touch: Each song served as a heartfelt shoutout, recognizing team members' contributions in a fun, engaging format.

Employee Appreciation Quest by Human Resources, Information Services Group, and Channel Management Group



This engaging initiative encouraged meaningful actions and collaboration among employees through a fun points system. Participants could earn Collaboration Points by engaging in various activities that emphasized appreciation and teamwork.



  • Meaningful Activities: Employees were rewarded for actions like helping colleagues, expressing gratitude, spreading kind words, and fostering collaboration.

  • Exclusive Rewards: Top scorers at the end of the week received exclusive rewards, motivating participation in the spirit of appreciation.



The Employee Appreciation Quest inspired a culture of recognition and teamwork, encouraging employees to celebrate one another in their daily work.


A Celebration of Togetherness


Reflecting on this remarkable week, it is evident that the interactions, thoughts, and creativity expressed during Globe's Employee Appreciation Week have created a lasting impact. Each activity, word of gratitude, and small act of kindness contributed to a resounding message: every individual at Globe is valued, and their contributions matter.
