Gabe Garcia reflects on how remaining true to your voice can ignite a ripple of inspiration, turning everyday stories into catalysts for change and connection.

With a knack for turning complex ideas into stories that connect, I believe that our voices, whether in marketing, advocacy, or everyday conversations, have the power to shape a more inclusive and inspired world. At Globe, I see how every voice contributes to a culture where possibilities are endless because they are truly heard and valued.
One moment that profoundly shaped my connection to Globe was back in 2021, when I was a Digital and Social Strategy intern leading the International Day of the Girl Child campaign. It was my very first time leading a project from start to finish—from the first spark of an idea to the final execution—and it felt like a defining moment. I was still new to the company and learning every day, but that project marked a turning point for me.

I wanted the campaign to be more than just a social media post; I envisioned a storytelling video where diverse content creators would share a powerful message with their 8-year-old selves. I worked with talented artists like Sharlene San Pedro, Tina Lata, and my friends Ann Pagaoa and Shaznae Litan. But what meant the most to me was including Mela Habijan’s narrative, a trans woman and inclusion advocate. As a long-time queer rights supporter, I knew it was crucial that our campaign be inclusive of all women, especially marginalized voices.

The moment I presented the final video, I was nervous—afraid that my vision might be misunderstood or that the message wouldn’t land. But my manager back then, Paula Jalosjos, not only appreciated it but celebrated the inclusion of Mela. That day, I realized how powerful our voice can be when used intentionally to uplift and include. It made me see Globe as more than a brand; it’s an environment that celebrates authenticity, diversity, and stories that truly matter. That experience deepened my connection and loyalty to the company, knowing my voice can help shape solutions and inspire change.

Life at Globe, for me, is all about the stories—both the ones we tell and the ones we're living. When I reflect on what truly matters here, it's not the flashy benefits or the title; it’s the people who have become a part of my story.

We're all united by one purpose: to empower Filipino businesses and help them become the heroes of their own business stories. The moral of every campaign we create is simple: for them to choose the courage to transform. It's through this shared mission and the support of these incredible people that I find the strength, creativity, and inspiration to keep telling stories that matter. For me, life at Globe isn't a job; it's a chapter in my life filled with people who have made me a better storyteller and a better person.

My passion for storytelling has become a guiding force in how I approach my work in solutions marketing. When I first joined the Solutions Marketing team and was tasked with the cybersecurity portfolio, I knew little about technology—my knowledge was basic, like having an antivirus, a strong password, or multi-factor authentication. But my challenge was to understand deeply enough to translate that complex language into stories that people could connect with on a human level.
In every campaign, I ask myself: How do I tell a story that shows cybersecurity as a true protector of dreams and futures? That mission pushes me to craft messages that are clear, authentic, and empowering, because I believe that when people feel understood and inspired by what they hear, they become more confident in what they do.

My passions for radio, music, pop culture, and championing LGBTQIA+ rights fuel my creativity and my ability to connect. I’ve learned that a good story isn’t just about the words—it’s about the voice behind them. My experiences as a radio DJ taught me the importance of authenticity, of speaking with conviction and genuine care. Hosting the Pride PH event and advocating for queer rights has shown me that true influence comes from living your values openly and boldly. Standing on stage, seeing my fellow ka-Globe's march for Pride, was an incredibly powerful moment. These passions give me perspective and resilience—knowing that every voice has the potential to illuminate, inspire, and bring about meaningful change.

One of the personal stories I hold close is from my early radio days. I once froze on-air, overwhelmed with nerves, believing I wasn’t good enough to be on that stage. Ria Ramz, my mentor, told me simply, “What happened?” When I admitted I was afraid, she said, “Maybe it’s because you don’t believe in yourself.” That moment shifted everything. I realized that often, our biggest obstacle is our own self-doubt. Since then, I’ve used that lesson to approach my work and activism with confidence, knowing that my voice—when rooted in authenticity—can inspire others and foster real connection.
As I create everyday possibilities in Globe, I am driven to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary opportunities. Whether it’s crafting a story that empowers businesses or standing for what I believe in, I see my voice as a catalyst for change. Every conversation, every campaign, is a chance to inspire someone and make the world just a little better.

I want Globe to continue being a space where every voice matters, where diversity and inclusion aren’t just buzzwords, but realities woven into our culture. I see myself contributing further by championing authentic storytelling and representation, making sure everyone feels seen and heard through their own voices.
For me, the future of Globe is one where our collective voices create endless possibilities—not just in technology, but in how we uplift and empower each other every day.
