Globe Pickleball Club Stays Out of the Kitchen and Onto the Podium

At Globe, "wellness" isn't just a buzzword we throw around—it’s an active, thriving part of our culture. We believe that a happy, healthy Ka-Globe is an empowered one.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, members of the Globe Pickleball Club Team put that philosophy into action, heading over to Tela Park in Las Piñas City to compete in the highly anticipated NEO Sportsfest Pickleball Tournament.
Competing against teams from various organizations, our players traded their laptops for paddles and proved that the competitive drive innate in our DNA doesn't just stay in the office—it translates perfectly onto the court.
Beyond the medals, the tournament highlighted the immense value of building strong communities within the company. Events like these break down departmental silos, bringing employees together to sweat, cheer, and connect over a shared passion.
"Representing Globe in the tournament was both an honor and a responsibility," shares Rodrey Filipinas from B2C Territory Management and Synergies.
"I felt proud to wear our company's name and compete alongside my colleagues. It was a great opportunity to showcase not only our skills but also our teamwork, sportsmanship, and company values. Throughout the tournament, I felt motivated to give my best because I knew I was representing something bigger than myself."
A Story of Resilience and Ka-Globe Cheer
The competitive spirit was palpable, but so was the heart. For Clarisa Ducot from Network Technical Group, the tournament was an emotional rollercoaster that ended in sweet validation.
When asked about her favorite part of the tournament, she recalled their gripping finals run:
"Yung finals namin, kasi 'yung kalaban namin, sila 'yung unang naka-match at tumalo sa amin. Nakakawala ng confidence 'yun, kakalaro mo pa lang tapos talo agad as a first-timer, nakakalungkot. But bumawi kami at natalo namin sila with the cheers of our Ka-Globe, and siyempre, dahil din sa partner ko na super supportive na kahit gaming error babawi kami."
That resilience paid off massively, as Clarisa and her partner went on to secure the Gold!
