Globe is… where I want to retire

Updated: Feb 3, 2025

In Globe, you have the freedom and power to bring extraordinary things to life. Cynthia Millan, Legal Counsel Senior Director from CLSG, shares what everyday possibilities she has made happen.

On my first day back in 2014, I immediately felt the warmth of the people on the 28th floor. Our group, Corporate and Legal Services (CLSG) is like a mid-sized law firm – there are a lot of lawyers, and naka-jive ko sila lahat.

CLSG is like my second family. Just as in a family, open and honest communication is encouraged, thereby creating a safe space, building trust, and strengthening relationships. My bosses’ support extends beyond professional development as they always offer a helping hand during personal challenges, celebrate our milestones together, and provide a safety net during difficult times. They acknowledge and appreciate my contributions and push me to be better.

CLSG, my second family. ❤️

Right now, I head the Infrastructure Legal Services, supporting the Network Technical Group. Next to ISG, it has the most employees, with over 2,000. It’s always so interesting to hear about their work, kasi ang technical, hindi siya dormant. Hindi siya natatapos sa isang concept lang. It’s ever-evolving. Every day, may bagong madidiscover at haharapin na challenges.

I’m really thankful that Globe doesn’t stop training its employees. Last year, I attended the Evolve program, which is one of the best leadership programs I’ve attended so far here in Globe. ‘Yung mga natutunan ko doon, hindi lang naman para sa’kin. I can share it with my teammates and my colleagues in Legal.

As the name of the training suggests, you never stop evolving with Globe.

Ramdam na ramdam ko talaga ‘yung pagpapahalaga ng Globe sa mga empleyado. Our health benefits are another proof of this. In fact, what I’m looking forward to in my future here is retirement. I want to retire here. I am turning 49 this year, so matagal-tagal pa.
