Globe is… where I discovered my potential

Updated: Jan 7, 2025

In Globe, you have the freedom and power to bring extraordinary things to life. Juuya Reyes, User Experience Senior Manager from Information Services (ISG), shares what everyday possibilities she has made happen.

I started as a vendor employee in 2015 until I had the privilege to join Globe full-time two years later. Through my journey here, I went from creating designs as a UX Designer to now leading the HR Services portfolio under ISG.

I never thought I would end up leading a team of very skilled professionals. But Globe molded me and gave me opportunities to learn and become what I am now. I was able to grow that way. I am given opportunities to learn from different trainings and leaders who are experts in their fields.

Working with my team means learning is always two-way. I’m always excited to go to work because I see it as another opportunity to learn, not just from leaders but from the team I lead as well, who have different skill sets and backgrounds.

The most important aspect of leadership, to me, is learning to listen. Being a leader means you have to be the most understanding and I always try to embody that with my team. I don’t want to come into a meeting being feared but respected. I want to be regarded as someone who listens first before speaking.

One of the things I appreciate most about Globe is that we can strike that balance between work and well-being. We have interest clubs where we can connect with each other, as well as lots of employee benefits and programs.

I remember during the COVID-19 pandemic, the whole world had to shift to work from home. Globe had already pivoted to a digital work set-up even before the pandemic, so it wasn’t as much of a challenging shift for me. It was like an “aha” moment, and I thought, “Hey, we’ve been ahead.”

I’ve been with Globe for seven years now, and the growth I have experienced is exponential. But now that I’m here, it made me realize there is still so much to learn. That excites me. What will the next five or ten years bring me here at Globe?
