Globe is… a blessing

In Globe, you have the freedom and power to bring extraordinary things to life. Jake Ison, Accounts Payable Expert from Finance & Administration, shares what everyday possibilities he has made happen.

In 2019, Globe took a chance on me. I was unemployed for two years despite being interviewed by 20 companies. Globe was the only one who gave me a chance to have a future in the corporate world. 

I made sure to excel in my work, to show that the chance given to me was not taken for granted. I’m very proud to work here because may puso si Globe. It’s not every day you see a company with a heart for its employees.

Thank you for that wonderful question, eme. I love joining company events – they’re a super fun way to recharge. This is me hosting an event for my group, Finance!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, ramdam na ramdam namin si Globe. The company provided the needs of the employees and walang aberyang nangyari. It’s easy to lead people when everything’s okay and smooth, but the true leadership of a person shines when hardship and challenges arise. 

Kami ng teammates ko ‘pag namimili saan maglulunch. Charot.

‘Yung puso ni Globe and my leader, it helped me grow. There are times when you fail, and they are there to support you and make sure you stand up again. My leader especially, ang style niya is to push you to improve, but when you fail, siya rin hihila sa’yo pataas. 

Globe, my second home. 💙

In fact, I would say my greatest discovery here in Globe is that I have a second family: my team. I’ve been here for five years now, and it’s like a second home. I see my friends as family. And when you’re happy with the environment and the culture, working here doesn’t feel like a chore. You see the people around you, your leaders giving you full support, and it gives you comfort.

Happiness or chocolates? Being part of events can be tiring, but I never get tired of it. It makes me feel reenergized to work.

If God permits, I want to be a leader in Globe. Deeply, I have a passion for leading people – I appreciate it when I see how our leaders work with their people. And it makes me feel confident that I can have a future in Globe as a leader.
