Still smiling from all the GDay moments! 💙 Last September, we celebrated GDay for our Ka-Globe with fun, prizes, surprise treats from our leaders, and the joy of giving back through 91.7 minutes of volunteering for our community partners. Catch the highlights here!
This year’s GDay, themed “Globe Celebrates You”, was a warm, people-first celebration that recognized the dedication of Ka-Globes and channeled our energy into meaningful community impact.
A day of appreciation and connection
Leaders kicked off GDay with surprise treats and tokens for employees, followed by a Thanksgiving Mass led by Father Jerry Orbos, SVD, to open the day in gratitude.
Across our offices, Ka-Globes connected over food booths, games, live buskers, personalized GDay pins featuring each employee’s avatar, and an interactive video booth — all designed to celebrate teams and spark fun conversations.
For Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz, his first GDay as chief executive carried special meaning.
You are the reason we are here. Every single one of you embodies the spirit of GDay, and your passion and commitment make it possible for us to serve our customers and our communities.
Fun and friendly competition
In the weeks before GDay, employees joined the G Raffle Rush, taking on daily challenges for chances to win travel vouchers, staycations and exclusive 917 items. Our GDay Shoutouts highlighted everyday excellence as teams nominated peers in categories like Team Spirit, Hype Machine, Connector, Happy Helper and Everyday Hero — recognizing the small acts that keep our culture strong.
Serving together: 91.7 minutes of Globe of Good
GDay also doubled as a day of service. More than 3,000 Ka-Globes volunteered across the country, contributing 91.7 minutes of service alongside seven partner NGOs. Activities included repacking relief and hygiene kits with ABS-CBN Foundation/Sagip-Kapamilya and Save the Children; preparing food packs with Ayala Foundation; assembling Kindness Boxes with World Vision; running livelihood projects with Project Pearls and GROW Nanays; and preparing athlete care kits with Special Olympics Pilipinas. Environmental action was part of the day too — teams supported Hands On Manila’s Bokashi Project to help clean Manila’s esteros.
Globe Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer Yoly Crisanto also penned a message to our Ka-Globe:
Today we celebrate two milestones in our company’s history: 10 years of 917 GDay and 10 years of Employee Volunteer Time Off. Your small acts of kindness combined create a resounding Globe of Good. And creating a Globe of Good is our purpose in action, it is relatable, impactful and above all, human and humane.
Our Team Globe of Good Brand Ambassadors joined employee-volunteers on the ground, showing how our culture of care comes to life when we serve together.
Collective giving that goes beyond expectations
Through initiatives like T-Shirt for a Cause and shared contributions of time and salary, Ka-Globes pledged to raise P917,000 for partner beneficiaries — and together we surpassed that goal, generating over P2 million to support our communities.
Going Forward Together
