If you walked through Globe offices between March 9 and 13, 2026, you probably felt it before you even understood it.
The laughter spilling out from a small booth. A familiar song playing from someone’s laptop speakers. A notification popping up on Workvivo with your name on it.

For one week, appreciation wasn’t a quiet, private thing. It was on air, on stage, on screens, and in our own words. It was our courage—to speak up, to dedicate, to shout out, to lead.
Globe marked the third year of #CelebrateYou, our Employee Appreciation Week (EAW), and this time, we didn’t just say thank you.
A Recap of Globe’s Employee Appreciation Week 2026
Life and work aren’t slowing down. Deadlines stack. Chats never sleep. Meetings run back to back. In the rush, it’s easy to move from task to task and forget the people who carried us there.
At Globe, appreciation isn’t just courtesy—it’s culture.
EAW 2026 wasn’t designed as a “one and done” celebration. It was built to create habits where more people actually say the words out loud; more visible moments where appreciation becomes contagious; more structures like platforms and leader practices that keep it going long after the posters come down.

And then we turn those themes into tangible, human experiences.
Courage to Lead by Example: When Leaders Go First
Our leaders and people managers set the tone from day one, beginning with a message from Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz that framed appreciation not as a nice-to-have, but as a leadership responsibility:
“Taking the time to recognize one another may seem like a small act, but it reflects confidence in who we are and a genuine respect for the contributions around us. A culture like this does not happen by accident.”
Throughout the week, leaders did more than endorse EAW 2026. They modeled it. Here's an appreciation video from Globe Chief Finance Officer and Chief Risk Officer Carlo Puno:
When leaders recognize people publicly, it does something quiet but powerful: it gives everyone else permission to do the same.
Carl further emphasized his thanks in his message to all Ka-Globe:
“I want to personally express my gratitude for the way you welcomed me and for the trust you continue to place in our shared direction. I want to acknowledge the work you do everyday to uplift the lives of Filipinos. Our purpose is ambitious, and it becomes real only because of the discipline, care, and commitment you bring to your roles.”
Suddenly, appreciation wasn’t just HR’s program. It was part of how we define strong leadership at Globe.
Courage to Express: Stepping Into the Gratitude Booth
The Gratitude Booth looked simple from the outside—a cozy space, a mic, a camera. But stepping into it asked for something big: the courage to express.
From these moments, real Ka-Globe expressed real words of appreciation, real emotion. No script. Just thankfulness, spoken bravely and from the heart.
Ka-Globe from different groups took the courage to step on the platform and share their message of appreciation.
Inside that booth, we saw that courage doesn’t always look like big, dramatic gestures. Sometimes, it’s a quiet person taking a breath and saying, “I appreciate you” into a camera—knowing someone they care about will hear it.
"As a new hire, I’ve felt incredible support and guidance from my leaders and colleagues, both with professional tasks and navigating my new environment. The warm welcome has made me feel truly at home, and I’m so excited to meet more of the team and contribute to such a wonderful company!"
- Kevin Cristopher Ng, Network Technical Group - Cebu
"Our leaders in B2B and CXM went extra mile to make me feel appreciated by spending time with us even off time already."
- Recca Francisco, B2B
"Hearing my song and other requests played made me feel truly appreciated. It was a wonderful moment that highlighted the continued camaraderie I share with my co-workers. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture."
- Angelina Janea, Finance and Administration
"Being part of this company for almost 26 years and having my open heart surgery done last May 2025, I owe it all to Globe kasi di ako pinabayaan lalo na ni Ms Lyn Rosales of HR who assisted me. I FEEL APPRECIATED DAILY."
- Hiyasmin Jucal, Consumer Mobile Business

Courage to Dedicate: Best Regards Radio
If the Gratitude Booth captured our voices, Best Regards Radio captured our soundtrack.
Originally launched by the Globe B2B team last year, the Best Regards Radio was another successful run by the same team. With our internal DJs Gabe Garcia from B2B and Blue Sta. Maria from NTG, the energy was palpable.

Hosted live via Workvivo, this radio show became a place where Ka-Globe found the courage to dedicate. You could feel the energy shift every time a new message came on air.
Some snapshots from the live shoutouts and dedication from Ka-Globe.
Each dedication was paired with a song: sometimes funny, sometimes nostalgic, sometimes deeply personal. As the music played, people tuned in from different teams, floors, and locations—knowing somewhere out there, someone was being seen and celebrated.
Appreciation was indeed evident during the livestream of Best Regards Radio. Such messages from fellow Ka-Globe were truly heartwarming!
For many, it was easier to say what they felt through music. It became a new kind of love language at work.

That’s courage too: using creativity, humor, and vulnerability to turn “thank you” into something we can hum along to.
Beyond the Week: Keeping Courage and Appreciation Alive
The livestream may have ended and the booth may have been packed away, but appreciation was never meant to live only in those five days. It was designed to build lasting habits and relationships.

Every Ka-Globe has a role in this. It might be the courage to appreciate someone in another team, to recognize a quiet contributor, or to thank a leader who showed up when it mattered most.
Employee Appreciation Week 2026 reminded us that courage is not only about big, bold moves; it’s also about the willingness to say, “Thank you. You made a difference.”
To everyone who stepped into the Gratitude Booth, dedicated a song, or posted a shout-out: thank you for your courage to celebrate one another.
Let’s carry that courage into every week of the year and continue to #CelebrateYou at Globe!
