Creativity knows no bounds! For years, the Ayala Art Fair PH has always been an enriching experience that bridges art and community, fostering connections and inspiration. Explore the captivating stories and emotional moments shared by our very own interns, spotlighting their invaluable contributions to this monumental event.

From February 21 to 23, 2025, the bustling Ayala Triangle in Makati City transformed into a vibrant hub of modern and contemporary Philippine art during the much-anticipated Ayala Art Fair PH. Celebrating its foundation in 2013, this year’s fair brought together renowned local and international artists from countries such as Austria, Hong Kong, Japan, and Spain, sparking connections and creativity within a captivating atmosphere. Co-presented by Globe, among others, the fair aimed not only to showcase art but also to nurture and empower the next generation of talents.

As part of Globe’s initiative, the Community Builders program encouraged these driven students to pave the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of art while developing their own skills and capabilities.

At the heart of this initiative were the passionate intern volunteers from different groups in Globe - Yari, Bianca, Pat, Justine, Kenneth, Chrysille, and Ayrton.

Yari, a 4th-year BS Marketing Management student at De La Salle University, shared her experience, “My role as a Project Head was to provide a short briefing/orientation regarding the tasks of the student volunteers and answer any questions before they head to the Art Fair. It was fulfilling to see all the organizations I once researched and messaged online finally come together in person. Meeting them face-to-face and witnessing their excitement and readiness for the experience made me feel truly accomplished and proud.

“I felt honored to be able to witness so many captivating artworks from prestigious artists in real life. The creative energy was not only visually captivating but also inspiring and memorable.” - Yari

The event served as a platform for young creative talents to engage in the arts community and promote local creativity. As part of their tasks, interns ideated on the experience of the student volunteers, provided orientation, facilitated student engagement, and even captured content highlighting the event's essence.

Bianca, also a 4th-year BS Marketing Management student, reflected on her role, saying, “As a project head for Globe’s Community Builder Program, I provided the students with what their task was and oriented them on the day of their scheduled visit. As I got to know each one of them, I saw the excitement in their eyes at the opportunity of getting to experience the fun of Ayala’s Art Fair.”

"What was truly special was meeting the students in person and seeing their excitement at the opportunity to be part of something so enriching." - Bianca

The emotional resonance of the fair was evident in the students' reflections. Kenneth, a 3rd-year BS Information Systems student, recalled the overwhelming creativity surrounding him: “It was an unforgettable experience. The art scene is genuinely vast, and appreciating the works with my fellow interns made it even more impactful.

"As someone who enjoys creating art, seeing the emotions and thoughts poured into each artwork really warmed my heart. It’s amazing to see how each artist is able to express their ideas in such unique ways. Art Fair showcases art as a universal language with many different phases." - Chrysille

Meanwhile, Justine, a junior AB Communication student at the University of Santo Tomas, found inspiration through the interactions she shared with artists. “Meeting co-interns and professionals in the industry was an enriching part of the fair. It’s motivational to see how Globe values and inspires the youth.

Ayrton, an HR People Experience intern and 5th-year AB Sociology student, echoed similar sentiments: “It was quite new to me since I haven’t attended many events like this one. It was a lovely experience viewing the different galleries and seeing some of the artists having conversations with each other. I was amazed at how unique each and every one of the artworks were which goes to show how brilliant and truly creative these artists are.

"It’s always important to give the youth more opportunities to expand their creative horizons. My advice for future Art Fair goers is to take your time and really take in the art. To talk with the artists and get to know the reason or message behind the work. Good art isn’t normally rushed, after all, so really allow yourself to experience the full creative breadth of the event." - Pat

Chrysille, a 3rd-year Computer Science student, shared her awe at the size of the venue and the diversity of artworks: “As a first-time goer, I was shocked by the number of showcases. The atmosphere was great, and I immediately felt absorbed in observing the subtle intricacies of the pieces.

"Seeing a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums reinforced the idea that creativity has no limits, while engaging with artists and fellow attendees emphasized the importance of community in the art world." - Kenneth

Highlights of the fair included a variety of unique artworks that spoke volumes to the interns. Pat, a Corporate Communications intern, celebrated the craftsmanship of artists she admires, adding, “It’s heartwarming to see many people share a passion for art. I got to see a couple of exhibitions by artists’ I’ve been eagerly following for a while now, mainly Abi Dionisio and Naburok.
