Martin Eusebio
Lead Community Coordinator & Marketing Intern
My journey started back during the 2020 pandemic, when the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was being implemented. At the time, I was stranded at a friend’s house in Muntinlupa. While I was fortunate to live comfortably during that period—having food, internet, and good company—I also saw the struggles and realities that others near me faced.
The security guards in the village I was staying at were struggling because they couldn’t go home, and nearby informal settlers began staying at homes where construction was delayed. This alarmed the village residents and as action, we organized an outreach program to help and support the security guards as well as the informal settlers who were going hungry.

I realized then that while I couldn’t solve everything, I could still try and do something.
With some friends who were equally passionate about service, I co-founded Step Up PH 2020, a youth-led organization dedicated to providing aid to underprivileged Filipino communities. What began as a simple outreach quickly grew into a movement of over 70 student volunteers. That experience showed me how empowering others is possible with providing them the right support and resources.

Bringing lessons forward
The lessons I learned in organization, leadership, and collaboration through Step Up continue to guide me in my role as a Lead Community Coordinator at Globe. I began this journey with Globe in 2023, working closely with Globe SubCulture heads and leads to design programs that were not only meaningful and enjoyable, but also empowering for the communities we served.
I still remember organizing my first events at The Globe Creator House and Radiate back in 2023, where I was able to bring my ideas to life and extend to others the very resources and opportunities Globe had provided me.
I also recall my first onsite reporting at The Globe Tower’s 17th floor, where, as one of the few students in the office, I was both challenged and inspired to grow.

Everyday at Globe is fulfilling because each project is an opportunity to help empower others. While I’ve had many memorable experiences, the most defining has been seeing the organization welcome future changemakers with open arms.
In 2025, I stepped into a new role through the Globe Student Program, helping provide students and youth-led groups with the support they need to thrive. This includes organizing internships, volunteer programs, ambassadorship opportunities, exclusive event invites, and microgrants that bring passion projects to life.
We’ve even had the opportunity to bring Globe leaders like our CEO Carl Cruz, to universities like De La Salle University Dasmariñas and Centro Escolar University Mendiola for meet-and-greets. We also welcome student organizations to our state-of-the-art facilities, giving them access to our venues, fiber-enabled network, equipment, food and beverages, and more. Beyond that, we provide students priority access to our exclusive events like concerts, fan meets, and block screenings, ensuring they benefit from and create memorable experiences throughout their student journey.

Supporting the leaders of tomorrow
I am passionate about supporting fellow students and youth leaders because they will inevitably be the future of our country. I believe that it is the duty of those with power, authority, and resources to empower, enrich, and nurture the potential of the youth.
My advice to students is to make every opportunity count, give your best in everything you do, and never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone as each experience is a chance to learn, grow, and shape the person you want to become
“Whatever opportunity comes your way, take it and give it your best.”
Five years from now, I see myself having finished university and working in an organization where I can use my degree and experience to bridge the youth with opportunities for growth and career development. My vision is to create a platform where they feel empowered and confident to successfully navigate through their student life and their future careers.
Being part of Globe has shown me what is possible when young people are trusted, supported, and given the right resources. I am excited to keep building that future for young students like me.
