One memorable experience for me is during our Weekly Operations Review with the team. We usually shift to using our native language when discussing numbers, issues, and concerns. This makes the discussion smoother and easier because everyone is more comfortable expressing their thoughts. Using our native language removes the worry of miscommunication or different interpretations, and it allows the team to freely share their insights and ideas. As a result, our discussions become more collaborative, faster in alignment, and more productive since everyone is on the same page.
Always a fun time bonding with the Territory 8 folks over luscious food :D
Diversity in language creates a sense of belonging because it allows us to express ourselves more openly and authentically, without fear of miscommunication. In Globe, this inclusivity helps my team collaborate faster and align better, which empowers me to bring my best self as a leader, more engaged, confident, and focused on driving results.

My favorite proverb is "Even if small, as long as it’s consistent."
This means - I believe consistency matters more than big but rare efforts. In my work, I’ve realized that small daily wins and steady improvements create lasting impact and build real momentum. This reminds me to stay patient and committed, knowing that progress no matter how small will eventually add up to greater success.
We always make sure everyone is aligned on the plans and keep each other accountable to support Globe's objectives and most importantly, our customers
For me, ‘Create Everyday Possibilities’ means empowering my teammates to see opportunities even in challenges. As a leader, I try to create an environment where they feel supported, valued, and inspired to bring their best ideas forward. By doing this every day, I believe we not only grow as individuals but also unlock greater possibilities together as one Globe team.

One memorable experience was during a fieldwork with our broadband sales team, where some frontliners and local partners were more comfortable speaking in Tagalog. I shifted from English to Tagalog to explain our strategy and address their concerns. Immediately, the discussion became more open and engaging—they asked more questions, shared practical feedback, and even suggested better ways to implement the plan. Using tagalog not only helped bridge any communication gaps but also built trust and camaraderie. It reminded me how language can make colleagues and partners feel more included and valued.

For me, diversity in language creates a sense of belonging because it allows people to communicate in the way they feel most comfortable and authentic. At Globe, this inclusivity helps break barriers, encourages collaboration, and builds stronger relationships. Personally, it motivates me to contribute more openly and confidently, knowing that my voice—and the voices of others—are valued regardless of the language we use.

One of my favorite Filipino sayings is ‘Kung may tiyaga, may nilaga,’ which translates to ‘With perseverance comes reward.’ It reminds me that success doesn’t happen overnight—it’s built through consistent effort and patience. I apply this daily by staying resilient in challenges at work and keeping focused on long-term goals. It’s also a reminder that hard work not only benefits me, but also inspires those around me to keep pushing forward.

For me, ‘Create Everyday Possibilities’ means finding ways, big or small, to make life better for our customers, colleagues, and communities. As a Ka-Globe, it’s about turning challenges into opportunities—whether by offering solutions, simplifying experiences, or empowering others to do more. It reminds me that the work I do every day contributes to creating meaningful opportunities that help people thrive.

In our team, we use different languages — Tagalog, Bisaya, and Ilonggo. As a leader, I adjust by communicating in a mix of these languages to ensure clearer and better interaction. When you meet your team in their comfort zone, they become more open in sharing ideas and the brainstorming becomes richer. Because of this, execution is faster, teamwork is stronger, and our store’s performance improves.

For me, language diversity plays a big role in cultivating a culture of belonging here at Globe. When your language is respected and recognized, it makes you feel that you are important and that your voice matters. This kind of environment motivates me to give my best at work, because I know I am valued not only for my skills but also for my identity.

My favorite saying is ‘Even small efforts, if consistent, matter.’ This means that even if what you do daily may seem small, when done consistently, it creates a big impact over time. At work, I apply this by focusing on small actions that improve service and strengthen team performance. Simple but regular efforts lead to smoother execution, stronger teamwork, and better results.

For me, ‘Create Everyday Possibilities’ means providing new opportunities and solutions every day. Even in small ways — like helping a customer resolve their concern or inspiring my team — we are able to open bigger opportunities. It reminds me that each day is a chance to make a difference for people and for the community.

Aside from my native language, Waray-Waray, I can also speak Cebuano, Tagalog, and English. Most of the people I have coordinated with also know how to speak these languages. As far as I remember, I haven’t had any problems with communication because whenever I meet or work with a new colleague, I usually ask what language they’re most comfortable with, and I adjust accordingly.
Para ha akon kun tanan na empleyado ha usa na kumpanya hin naiintindihan it kada tagsa-tagsa na yinaknan o linguahe ini in nagpapakita hin respeto ngan pagkarawat han kada usa nga empleyado ha kumpanya o ha grupo. Mahitungod hini nagkakamayda ini hin abri ngan maupay na hurohimangraw an kada tagsa.
For me, when everyone is understood in their language, it shows respect and makes the workplace more welcoming. This encourages employees to openly communicate, share their thoughts, and engage in good discussions.
“Waray problema nga waray solusyon.”

“In every problem, there’s a solution.” Problems are part of life, but they are not permanent. Each problem comes with a solution. When facing work issues or personal struggles, instead of worrying, look for possible solutions and seek help when needed.
